An Experienced General Surgeon

"Wish I could say this was an April Fool’s joke, but it wasn’t. In late March, I felt pain in my left groin while walking. I do cold plunges regularly, so I tried one after the walk, which temporarily eased the pain. However, it returned the next morning. Back in Idaho, I contacted Capital Surgery Associates and secured an appointment for March 27th with Dr. Perry, a general surgeon. I researched him and learned he had over six years of experience in the Trauma Center at St. Alphonsus before joining Capital Surgery.

Dr. Perry’s assistant, Anastaisha, called me from the waiting room. She escorted me to an exam room, where we discussed my condition. She was personable, professional, calming, and efficient, addressing my questions and coordinating with Dr. Perry when needed.

Dr. Perry soon arrived. He was professional yet friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough, explaining what to expect before and after surgery. I felt fortunate to have connected with such a great doctor. We scheduled surgery for April 1, but Dr. Perry postponed it, suspecting an infection, and requested a urine sample to confirm. The surgery was rescheduled for April 8 at Treasure Valley Hospital, where the staff was exceptional.

I arrived at 8:15 AM for prep and pre-op. Dr. Perry checked on me, answered all my questions, and put me at ease. He authorized Exparel with the anesthesia, a long-acting pain reliever lasting up to 72 hours, and advised me to take Tylenol and ibuprofen as directed. He also prescribed tramadol for potential pain, but I never needed it. I experienced no pain post-surgery or during recovery. By following Dr. Perry’s instructions exactly, I’ve fully recovered and resumed all my pre-surgery activities.

If anyone in my family needed surgery, I’d recommend Dr. Perry without hesitation. He set clear expectations, delivered as promised, and provided outstanding care. I highly recommend him."
